The National Book Foundation has revealed plans to live stream the 67th National Book Awards ceremony on Facebook Live and Twitter.

The organization has live streamed the event for several years, with last year’s live stream attracting 10,000 viewers. This is the first time that the service is available through social networks. The finalists announcement on Facebook drew 60,000 viewers this year. The event will continue to be live streamed at nationalbook.org as well. Readers and writers can watch the event online beginning at 7:40 ET.

“All year long, we’ve talked about how important it is for the Foundation to help build a nation of readers,” stated Lisa Lucas, executive director of the National Book Foundation. “Ensuring that an invitation to participate in the magic of the National Book Awards, live and in real time, is available to anyone, anywhere, with an interest and an internet connection is deeply important to us.”
