Hey, remember back about three months ago, when Jerome Corsi told the New York Times why he wrote Obama Nation? “The goal is to defeat Obama… I don’t want Obama to be in office.”
Rumor has it that Corsi has been shopping several other book proposals over the last two months, including The Last Shall Be First: The Tampa Bay Rays Story, Heroes: Season Three Is Going to Be SO Awesome, and 40,000 Copies in One Week: Try to Beat THAT, Coulter.
Seriously, though, it’s going to be interesting to see whether the conservative imprints that have sprung up within the various New York publishing conglomerates will respond to Obama’s victory by digging their heels in and finding right-wing authors who are even more hardcore than Corsi, or whether they’ll become one of the battlegrounds in the struggle over the soul of tomorrow’s Republican Party.
