Literary Hashtags Sweep Twitter

By Jason Boog

twitterlogo2323.jpgTwo literary hashtags swept Twitter today, each theme guided by two writers.

Author Susan Orlean helped spread the first trend, celebrating Books That Changed My World. We’d like to add The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler.

Here’s a great tweet from Ileana Oroza: Brother-in-law once said ‘If we hadn’t read Hemingway at an early age, we’d be rich lawyers now.’ So right #booksthatchangedmyworld.”

Novelist Jason Pinter started a Bad Names for Book Imprints list with a single, excellent tweet: “BP Books.” We’d like to add our own: Madoff’s Portfolio.
