Lady Gaga Book Producers Approached Jezebel Writer

48270.jpgLinking to a GalleyCat post yesterday, Jezebel writer Jenna Sauers (the blogger behind the site’s Anonymous Model feature) noted that she had been approached by the producers of a new Lady Gaga book–an opportunity she turned down.

Here’s an excerpt from Sauers’ post: “An image-heavy book about Lady Gaga and her style is being rushed into production for a fall release, where it will compete with the other quickie books about Lady Gaga and her style. We just checked our e-mail, having vaguely remembered hearing about this book before, and realized that last month, we were approached to write it. Is this an opportunity we’ll regret missing? We’ll see.”

Last week, GalleyCat reported that St. Martin’s Press bought Lady Gaga: Critical Mass Fashion from the book producer becker&mayer! for a fall 2010 release. It joins a crowded Lady Gaga bookshelf that includes Lady Gaga: “Just Dance”–The Biography by Helia Phoenix (pictured, via Orion Publishing Group).
