Krishan Trotman will join Hachette Books as senior editor next week.
Trotman comes to Krishan Hachette from Skyhorse Publishing where she served as senior editor. She brings more than twelve years of publishing experience to Hachette. Trotman began her career at Simon & Schuster, where she acquired both fiction and nonfiction adult titles with a focus on multicultural voices. There she worked on books for authors including: Zane, T.D. Jakes, Kanye West, Vickie Stringer, and Snoop Lion.
At Skyhorse Trotman worked with David Talbot, founder of Salon.com, to launch Hot Books, an imprint dedicated to investigative journalism. This included editing: The Hunting Ground: The Inside Story of Sexual Assault on American College Campuses by Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering and The Beastside: Living (and Dying) While Black in America by D. Watkins.
In her new role with Hachette, Krishan will acquire nonfiction.
