I’d just like to say right off the bat that Sharon M. Draper is one of my very favorite young adult author’s of color. So, I was a little excited to see that she had another book coming out called, Just Another Hero.
In this story, the third in the series, it tells the story of a group of friends whose lives are changed forever when the school fire alarm goes off. It’s not a prank this time, but instead a potentially deadly reason.
Draper is the winner of the Coretta Scott King Award, the John Steptoe Author Award and may be little known to the mainstream public but has fast-become one of inner city kids’ favorite authors.She is also the New York Times best selling author of Copper Sun.
