John Daly’s gambling issues

The former PGA star who’s much better known for his hard-drinking, womanizing ways has just published his autobiography, JOHN DALY: MY LIFE IN AND OUT OF THE ROUGH. And what’s getting attention now are his revelations about gambling (which has lost him between $50 and $60 million since 1992) – so much so that the PGA commissioner suggested the two-time major champion seek counseling, he tells the San Jose Mercury News.

Also of note are Daly’s comments about the editing process. Daly said the book was edited eight times, usually toning down the coarse language, so he could give the publisher the product it wanted without doing too much damage to the PGA Tour. “There’s a lot of cussing in the book, but we toned it down as much as we could,” he said.
