Modern Publishing seeks an Editorial Assistant. Here’s more about the position: “Mass-market childrens book publisher seeks detail-oriented, hands-on editorial assistant to provide administrative and editorial support in an entry-level position. Ideal candidate should possess exceptional written communication skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, excellent organizational skills.”

Next, HarperCollins Publishers is hiring a Director, Intellectual Property Development. Here’s more: “HarperCollins Childrens Books seeks a creative, energetic, seasoned editor/writer/creator of childrens books and/or digital entertainment properties to become its director of intellectual property development. You will be responsible for creating, commissioning, and editing original narrative fiction properties for book, online, and mobile app development, with an emphasis on teen and tween commercial series fiction to be published in close partnership with editors in publishing groups of the Harper imprint.”
