routledge23.jpgAs the literary world begrudgingly returns to work, publishers have posted five new jobs. Like a hardboiled gumshoe, GalleyCat has been investigating publishing work on the mediabistro.com job boards. For your resume-making pleasure, here are the new postings.

First up, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt is looking for a Publicity Manager. Here’s more: “[Must have] at least 4-5 years of book publicity experience to join our dynamic publicity team in our beautiful offices in Union Square. The person in this position will strategize,develop and execute campaigns for high profile, lead titles — write press releases, book national media and author tours, virtual events and participate in launch, marketing and other brainstorming meetings.”

Next, Random House U.S.A is seeking a Vice President Special Markets. Next, Readers Digest hopes to fill two positions: Associate Art Director and Copywriter.

Finally, Taylor & Francis Group seeks an Editor, Architecture. Here’s more about the job: “outledge, a leading publisher of books and journals in all Built Environment disciplines, has an exciting opportunity for a new acquiring editor in Architecture, to work alongside our existing Architecture editor as part of our expanding Built Environment team.”
