Harry Potter enthusiasts will be counting down the 12 days of Christmas with new stories on Pottermore. Over at the Pottmore Insider blog, fans were tasked with cracking a riddle (embedded above) about a student who was on a mission in service to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named to unlock this new piece. For the past few days, J.K. Rowling has revealed new information about Professor Snape, Diagon Alley, and vampires in the wizarding world.

With this new story, we find out more details about the character of the antaognist, Draco Malfoy. Rowling confirms that although Draco does not match his father, Lucius Malfoy, in cruelty he doesn’t possess an underlying “heart of gold” either.
According to The Huffington Post, Rowling also reveals that details about Draco’s “marriage to fellow pureblood and Slytherin Astoria Greengrass. Astoria was apparently a disappointment to the Malfoys, as she did not share their virulent hatred of Muggles and chose to raise their grandchild with a somewhat more tolerant worldview.”
