Image Comics will publish a new comics series entitled God Country. The first issue will be released on January 11, 2017.
Here’s more from the press release: “In God Country readers meet Emmett Quinlan, an old widower rattled by dementia. Emmett isn’t just a problem for his children—his violent outbursts are more than the local cops can handle. When a tornado levels his home—as well as the surrounding West Texas town—a restored Quinlan rises from the wreckage.”
Donny Cates has signed on to write the story. Geoff Shaw will create the illustrations. Shaw plans to collaborate with Dave Stewart to design “Cover A.” Gerardo Zaffino has agreed to make “Cover A.”
