How Timothy Ferriss Topped the NYT Hardcover Advice Best Seller List

Last year, we told you How Timothy Ferriss Hit the Amazon Bestseller List in a practical interview about book publicity. Now we have a new title to add to the post.

Over the holiday weekend, Ferriss debuted in the number one spot on the Hardcover Advice Best Seller list at The New York Times. See the picture embedded above, click to enlarge. Follow this link to read the original interview about building an audience.

Ferriss described his nervous excitement before seeing the list: “It was just past 5pm EST in Manhattan, and I’d been on pins and needles all day … in the lobby of the ACE Hotel, a few friends — including my agent, Steve Hanselman, my assistant, Charlie Hoehn, and my brother from another mother, Chris — had gathered with me to drink champagne. No matter the outcome, it had been a hard-fought battle over three years. THREE YEARS. Hospitalizations, surgeries, you name it.”
