Executives at Thomas Dunne Books Announces Restructuring

By Maryann Yin

St. Martin's PressThe executives at St. Martin’s Press have announced that the Thomas Dunne Books imprint will be restructured.

Here’s more from Dunne’s message: “Our smaller and more focused group will consist of Executive Editor Peter Joseph, Associate Editor Melanie Fried, and my assistant Cameron Jones. The remainder of TD Books’ staff will move into roles in SMP. I will continue to have a role in SMP’s strategic planning as well as a role that allows me to focus on acquisitions while being relieved of some of the day-to-day responsibilities of running a large imprint.”

Dunne has no intention of retiring, but he wants to devote himself to working on a smaller list moving forward. The new team will aim to acquire several manuscripts on a yearly basis. The list will feature a mix of commercial titles and atypical projects.
