Ocean House Media has just released an eBook app of Seuss’s classic book The Lorax for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The app, which is universal, meaning it works on both iPad and iPhone, costs $3.99 and offers the same kinds of features (read-aloud, word-definitions, page-flip animations) as previous Ocean House Media Seuss titles.

The Lorax, the little greenish guy who “speaks for the trees” would probably be glad to be appearing in an eBook, for which no trees, Truffula or otherwise, were sacrificed.

Ocean House also released The Lorax Garden, a children’s game based on the book, and Dr. Seuss Senders, a greeting card app, at the same time. Ocean House currently has nine Seuss apps available in the app store.
