Celebrate Doctor Who Day with Free Time Travel eBooks

By Jason Boog

Today is Doctor Who Day, an annual celebration of the time traveling BBC hero. The first episode of the science fiction show aired on November 23, 1963.

To celebrate, the BBC has shared the clip embedded above–a snippet from the very first episode of Doctor Who. If you want some literary inspiration, check out Feedbook’s excellent list of 31 public domain eBooks about time travel.

Here’s more about the clip from BBC Worldwide: “A doubting Ian Chesterton challenges the Doctor as to whether the TARDIS has indeed travelled through time. The opening of the doors of the time machine reveals not the junkyard of 76 Trotter’s Lane, but a Palaeolithic landscape of another world. Classic clip taken from the very first Doctor Who story, An Unearthly Child starring William Hartnell.” (Via Mike Cane)
