Diamond Book Distributors Suspends Shipments to Borders

By Jason Boog

In the wake of vendor payment problems, the graphic novel source Diamond Book Distributors (DBD) has stopped sending book shipments to Borders.

Comics Beat had the scoop: “They have informed their clients that since Borders has suspended payments to them, DBD is suspending product shipments and has put the Borders account on hold. According to the announcement, Diamond is attempting to work with Borders to resolve the situation.”

MobyLives has rounded up accounts that Borders will meet with publishers again today, hoping to reach a new agreement over delayed vendor payments. Yesterday we noted that Borders has decided to close its distribution center in LaVergne, Tennessee in July–cutting more than 300 employees.
