Dept. of Corrections: Expensive Egg on Our Face

By Neal

It was just about two weeks ago that we told you about the impending publication of An Expensive Education, a Nick McDonell novel that we assumed, based on what we’d heard about the plot description, was the same book that had been published in France last year as The War at Harvard. We have since been informed that what was published in France was a nonfiction essay that bears little connection to the forthcoming novel, other than the fact that both are set at a small school in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We regret the error, which in no way diminishes our interest in reading the novel when the advance reading copies start turning up in the near future.
