Daryn Kagan Migrates from TV to Web to Print

Former CNN anchor Daryn Kagan has a two-minute promotional film up for her new book, What’s Possible, and since I wrote just this morning about whether standing around talking makes for good book trailers, it’s worth noting that Kagan cuts away from her establishing shot early on to show viewers footage of the people who form the backbone of her inspirational stories. Does it look a bit infomercial? Absolutely. But marketers know that informercials work because they lure viewers into a compelling narrative… and Kagan’s built a successful website around similar short video features over the last fifteen months.
