Daniel Handler, Amy Tan, Frank Portman, T Geronimo Johnson, Greg Proops, Neil Pollack and Robert Haas are among those authors appearing at San Francisco’s Literary Festival Litquake this year.

The festival kicks off its 16th year on October 9 and includes more than 90 events with more than 800 participating authors. The festivities include an evening with Tracey Stewart, Daily Show host Jon Stewart’s wife, whose new book Do Unto Animals comes out in October. In addition, the Lit by the Lake in the Library brings together authors from the East Bay.

The Eat Drink and Be Literary day will bring together Bay Area authors with the best in Bay Area cuisine. And the closing Lit Crawl will take literary folks on a bar tour of the Mission.
