Henson has become well-known for her roles on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button movie and the Empire TV series. 37 INK, an imprint of Simon & Schuster’s Atria Publishing Group, scheduled the publication date for October 11.
Entertainment Weekly reports that “the memoir will include stories about Henson’s father, a Vietnam veteran, and her mother, who survived violence at home and on the streets. Henson will also comment on her education at Howard University, how she views single motherhood as a gift rather than a burdern, and the struggles that come along with being a black actress.” (via The Huffington Post)
