The cover has been unveiled for Jessica Valenti’s forthcoming memoir, Sex Object. She (pictured, via) has become well-known as a blogger and feminist writer.
We’ve embedded the full image for the jacket design above—what do you think? Dey Street Books, an imprint at HarperCollins, has scheduled the publication date for June 7.
In an interview with New York Magazine, Valenti discussed the focus of this project: “I guess the short version is that it’s a memoir about growing up in a culture that values women based on whether or not they’re sexy, but hates them for having sex. And, more broadly, my experience of trying to find my humanity and sanity in a culture that doesn’t really see women as full people.”
