The cover has been unveiled for Kara Lee Corthon’s forthcoming young adult novel, The Truth of Right Now. This project marks Corthon’s debut as an author.
We’ve embedded the full image for the jacket design above—what do you think? Simon Pulse, a Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing imprint, set the release date for January 3, 2017.
Corthon shared her thoughts on the cover art in a post on the Riveted website: “Dari’s a gifted visual artist and this could have easily been one of his drawings. The design also provides texture and mystery; it leaves space for readers to fill it in as they see fit. The image is now open to multiple interpretations and instead of telling one story, it’s more of an invitation into the one I’ve written. I can look at this cover and see the potential for everyday magic and everyday pain and then some.” (via The Fandom)
