Camille Paglia Has a Book Idea for Sarah Palin

By Jason Boog

200px-Pagliaphoto.jpgIn her sprawling monthly Salon column, feminist intellectual Camille Paglia had some fond words for former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin–advice that could steer the governor’s prophesized book in an unexpected direction.

Here’s the juiciest quote from Paglia (pictured): “[Palin] uses language with the jumps, breaks and rippling momentum of a be-bop saxophonist. I stand on what I said (as a staunch pro-choice advocate) in my last two columns — that Palin as a pro-life wife, mother and ambitious professional represents the next big shift in feminism. Pro-life women will save feminism by expanding it, particularly into the more traditional Third World.”

Those pro-Palin paragraphs unleashed nearly 800 comments from readers. If Palin trusted Paglia’s praise, she could write the strangest and most controversial feminist manifesto this country has ever seen. Love it or hate it, people would buy that book. (Via.)
