Bradley Cooper Joins Adaptation of ‘The Man From Primrose Lane’

Silver Linings Playbook star Bradley Cooper has been tapped to star in an adaptation of James Renner‘s time travel crime novel, The Man From Primrose Lane.

DeadlineNY has all the details: “Langley Park’s Kevin McCormick will produce with Cooper and his 22nd & Indiana banner, which is also based at the studio. The script will be written by Chad Feehan, a Southland writer whose script Beyond The Pale made the Black List.”

Renner told us that he plans on writing a sequel to the novel called Curse of the Man from Primrose Lane. First, he will finish The Great Forgetting and his true crime book Destination Unknown (about the 2004 disappearance of Maura Murray).

On the Morning Media Menu last year, the journalist and novelist shared how he built the unique publicity campaign for The Man From Primrose Lane. Press play below to listen on SoundCloud…

Renner offered this advice for aspiring true crime writers: “Everybody is interested in a mystery. Whatever they are reading or watching on TV, generally it’s some sort of mystery. They want an answer; they want to know where the characters are going and what is going to happen. So what I do when I hear about these crimes, I look for something that is almost unanswerable because of its weirdness … you look for a good mystery and you look for a good location.”
