Bookstores Didn’t Blow Potter Windfall

After months of steadily losing business, even when the rest of the book sales market was on the rise, bookstores posted a 7.3 percent sales gain in July, thanks to the publication of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Sales are still down 3.2 percent for the year-to-date, though, according to the Census Bureau stats as reported to PW Daily.
