Still to come: Prophets! And the man who wrote “The Facts of Life”!

Ellis Weiner lets his beard slip as he and Barbara Davilman, co-authors of How to Profit from the Coming Rapture, meet up with their publishers, Little Brown‘s Michael Pietsch (and Sophie Cottrell?) as they have fun promoting their book out on the show floor. What was really disconcerting, though, was when I took my first picture of the pair, and Weiner said, “You’re Ron Hogan!” (I was so thrown I didn’t even get to tell him that he wrote one of the funniest books I read in junior high school, National Lampoon’s Doon, or that I’m still waiting for him to come out with Doon Meshugganah, dammit.)

Finally, here’s a picture of me with Alan Thicke, who’s got a book coming out from Sterling & Ross later this year called How to Raise Kids Who Won’t Hate You. This was pretty much the closest I got to a Hollywood celebrity out on the show floor all weekend and, amazingly, despite spending almost four days straight indoors, I managed to get sunburned.
