The online business book store 800-CEO-READ selected Seth Godin‘s Tribes as the best book of 2008, the second year it’s chosen to hand out awards in the biz-book category. The company’s president, Jack Covert, lauded “Godin’s most important book yet” for giving people “a new way to talk about leadership,” and we totally relate.
Recognition was also given to books in several subcategories, from advertising and marketing (Brand Bubble by John Gerzema) to sales (The Contrarian Effect by Michael Port and Liz Marshall).
