Bill Clinton’s Brushing Up on His History

Earlier this week, presidential hopeful Barack Obama was spotted reading Fareed Zakaria‘s new book, The Post-American World. Now former president Bill Clinton has been carrying around an ARC of Ark of the Liberties, a new history of the U.S. project to promote liberty all over the world by Ted Widmer, a former Clinton speechwriter. Although he’s probably already read the book, since he’s gone ahead and blurbed it: “At a time when we need to restore America’s standing in so many places,” Clinton wrote, “Ark of the Liberties shows us how we can do it if we remain true to our historic ideals.”
