In this week’s installment of mediabistro.com’s “Pitching an Agent,” M. David Hornbuckle profiles Nicholas Croce of The Croce Agency. Croce spent years at Wiley and Rosen Publishing before launching his own small press; then, last year, he changed course and started his own literary agency, handling fiction and nonfiction in roughly equal proportions. All that experience helps him guide his clients through the publication process, he says, and while he is looking for new authors, “Croce is highly selective and works to keep the agency at a size in which he is accessible to authors while also having access to editors.”
