Eddie Schneider (left) and Joshua Bilmes are the stars of this week’s installment of mediabistro.com’s “Pitching an Agent” series, and though they claim JABberwocky is the #1 agency for fantasy and science-fiction authors (with a client base that includes Charlaine Harris, Elizabeth Moon, Brandon Sanderson, Tobias S. Buckell, among many others), they’re interested in many different kinds of stories—including mysteries, graphic novels, and GLBT fiction. Despite its science fiction roots, however, there’s one aspect of the agency that remains totally old-school: Bilmes and Schneider refuse to even look at emailed queries.
