Authors Can Now Copyright a Book on MyIdentifiers.com

MyIdentifiers.com, Bowker’s online site for buying ISBNs and barcodes, will now help authors and publishers register copyrights for their work. Through a partnership with Digi-Rights, the company behind the app CopyrightsNow, Bowker’s site is now equipped to register copyrights when you purchase an ISBNs.

“Copyright protection enables authors and publishers to protect and enforce their rights from piracy and illegal copies,” explained Beat Barblan, Director of Identifier Services at Bowker, in a statement.  “We’re excited to team with Digi-Rights to launch the CopyrightsNow App. We’re impressed by its ability to simplify application for federal copyright protection in minutes – eliminating lengthy forms and complex procedures. This service offers an important value to authors and publishers.”
