The book trailer has been unveiled for Maria Toorpakai’s memoir, A Different Kind of Daughter: The Girl Who Hid from the Taliban in Plain Sight. This athlete has become well-known as a professional squash player.
The video embedded above offers glimpses from the documentary, The War to Be Her. Entertainment Weekly reports that the movie will come out in Fall 2016.
Toorpakai collaborated with Katharine Holstein to write this book. Twelve, an imprint at Hachette, has scheduled the release date for May 3.
