Focus Features has unleashed a new trailer for Nocturnal Animals. The story for this film adaptation comes from Austin Wright’s 1993 novel, Tony and Susan.
According to IndieWire, Tom Ford served as both the director and screenwriter. The video embedded above offers glimpses of Amy Adams as Susan Morrow and Jake Gyllenhaal as Tony Hastings.
People Magazine reports that this movie “tells the story of a woman (Adams) who confronts the demons of her past while reading a dark novel written by her ex-husband (Gyllenhaal). As she gets deeper into its story, she wonders whether the tale actually might be a revenge fantasy that alludes to their painful real-life breakup.” (via A.V. Club)
