Amazon.com, Inc. Raises Kindle Fees

amlogo.gifDays after purchasing the company that makes the Stanza e-reader, Amazon.com, Inc. made a quiet announcement about increased fees for wireless transfer of personal documents to a user’s Kindle. Here’s the note: “This fee is now based on the size of your file. The fee for Personal Document Service (via Whispernet) is 15 cents per megabyte rounded up to the next whole megabyte.”
