Alan Moore 200 (GalleyCat)Alan Moore recently revealed at a press conference in London that he intends to retire from creating comic books. Throughout his career, he has written the stories for several popular comic book titles including The Killing Joke, The Watchmen and V for Vendetta.

According to The Guardian, Moore acknowledged that his work has had a great impact in the comics industry. However, he fears that pushing himself “to continue to work in comics, inevitably the ideas would suffer, inevitably you’d start to see me retread old ground and I think both you and I probably deserve something better than that.”

Paste Magazine reports that Moore (pictured, via) feels that he has “about 250 pages of comics left in me.” At the same time, he does plan to keep the door open for the possibility of working on “the odd little comics piece at some point in the future.” (via Polygon)
