Archie Comics will launch a New Riverdale edition of the Betty & Veronica comic series. Adam Hughes has come on board to write and illustrate the premiere issue.
Some of the artists who have signed on to create variant covers for this book include Stephanie Buscema, Cliff Chiang, and Francesco Francavilla. The release date has been scheduled for July 20.
Here’s more from the press release: “As Riverdale’s most beloved blonde and brunette find themselves divided over the takeover of the town’s central hangout, Pop’s Chocklit Shoppe, battle lines are drawn and friends have become enemies as the town is enveloped in all-out civil war! Oh, and there will be jokes.”
