Columbia University Press will publish a book chronicling the development and history of Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Two people will contribute to the writing; Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy executive director Nancy Webster and journalist David Shirley. A publication date has been set for 2015.
Webster had this statement in the press release: “We are delighted to partner with Columbia University Press to publish a history of Brooklyn Bridge Park. The Conservancy was born from the grassroots movement to build the park, and we are excited to tell the story of how a visionary and passionate community spearheaded a movement and worked with government to build the park we love today.”
