National Book Awards Longlist to Run on NewYorker.com

The National Book Foundation has teamed up with The New Yorker to exclusively reveal this year’s National Book Awards Longlist through the magazine’s website.

All four lists—Young People’s Literature, Poetry, Nonfiction, and Fiction—will be revealed throughout the week of September 14. Here is more from the press release:

The Longlist for Young People’s Literature will be revealed on newyorker.com on Monday, September 14th at 9 a.m. (EDT), followed by the Longlist for Poetry on Tuesday, September 15th at 9 a.m., the Longlist for Nonfiction on September 16th, and finally, the Longlist for Fiction on September 17th. Previous Longlist announcements were made in partnership with The Daily Beast and The New York Times.

“We are very pleased to be working with the National Book Foundation to highlight some of the best writing in America this year,” stated David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker. “Great writing is a hallmark of both institutions.”
