No sooner had the ink dried on the press release on Borders CEO Greg Josefowicz’s impending retirement than the news was bandied about that senior executive Mike Spinozzi was leaving even sooner. Spinozzi, who was just nine months into a stint as the bookstore chain’s chief product officer, will be cleaning out his desk by the end of next week, while Josefowicz’s retirement date isn’t quite fixed and even after it is, he’ll stick around as “a non-exclusive, senior level consultant” until they find his replacement.
