Writers Guild, Hollywood Producers Expected to Resume Negotiations This Week

The Writers Guild of America is expected to resume talks with Hollywood studios Wednesday, more than four months after writers went on strike after failed contract negotiations, the union said Monday. (NBC News)

The WGA, in a note to members Monday, encouraged its writers to continue picketing outside studio offices until an agreement is reached. (Reuters)

The WGA had issued a statement late Thursday saying, “The WGA and AMPTP are in the process of scheduling a time to get back in the room.” The two sides are not believed to have met at the bargaining table since mid-August. (CBS News)
