White House Ramping Up Search for Communications Director After Spicer’s Rocky Start

The White House is ramping up its search for a new communications director in an effort to lighten the load of embattled White House press secretary Sean Spicer, multiple sources told CNN. (CNN)

Through his daily press briefings carried live on the cable news networks, Spicer has the most visible role in the administration, after the president. The White House is looking at outside candidates to serve as communications director. According to CNN, a source said the president is disappointed in Spicer’s performance so far. (TVNewser)
