Two Univision crews—one from the network and another from a local affiliate—were told they could not cover the event, after earlier being told they were cleared to attend, according to ABC’s Miami affiliate WPLG. Trump made his first Florida appearance since announcing his candidacy in June. (Deadline)

“Mr. Trump is suing Univision for $500 million and until that is resolved it is a conflict of interest,” Hope Hicks, spokeswoman for the Trump campaign, said in an email. No additional information was offered. (THR)

Trump filed a $500 million lawsuit against Univision in June for cutting its ties to the Miss Universe Organization after Trump made his now-infamous remarks about Mexican criminals and rapists. Trump was not happy and even declared Univision was taking its “marching orders” from Mexico. (Mediaite)

At the time Univision dropped the Miss USA pageant, Univision also issued a ban on any of its employees conducting company business at Trump-owned hotels or resorts, including the National Doral, which is adjacent to Univision’s Florida headquarters. Friday’s incident comes after Univision anchor Jorge Ramos was thrown out of another Trump event in August when he tried to ask the presidential hopeful a question. (Variety)
