Twitter Begins Building a Team in Ghana

Twitter is looking to establish a presence in Africa by actively building a team that will be based in Ghana. (Adweek)

Twitter trails its largest rival, Facebook, which opened its first African office in Johannesburg in 2015 and plans to open a second in Lagos this year. The firm struck a deal with African telecom majors in 2020 to build one of the world’s largest subsea cable networks. (Reuters)

Twitter indicated several roles, from product and engineering to design, marketing, and communications, for job openings in the company. However, individuals will fill these roles remotely as Twitter makes plans to establish an office in the country later. (TechCrunch)
