TV Ratings: Pyeongchang Builds Again, Olympics Trailing 2014 by 7%, All Told

The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang forged ahead Monday night, featuring women’s freestyle skiing and a lot of ice dancing. NBC and NBC Sports Network’s combined coverage ticked up for the second night in a row, netting an average 12.6 overnight rating among households. (THR / Live Feed)

Monday night’s Presidents Day prime-time coverage on NBC and NBC Sports Network was down 13 percent from the early numbers of Feb. 12, the first Monday of the 2018 Games. That is not a low for Pyoengchang, as the hockey saw NBCSN have its best Monday prime since June 2015 and actually represents an overall bop up of 7 percent from the results of Feb. 18’s prime-time NBC and NBCSN airing. In the fast affiliate numbers, NBC’s prime-time coverage drew a 3.6 rating in adults 18-49 and 15.7 million viewers. That does not include West Coast viewers, those who watched on NBC Sports or those who watched on NBC’s various streaming platforms. (Variety)
