Telemundo Creates Content Brand Tplus to Serve U.S. Hispanics

NBCUniversal’s Telemundo is debuting a new content brand, Tplus, that the company hopes will serve the full spectrum of U.S. Hispanics as part of its effort to grow Peacock subscribers. (Adweek)

The new offering, which is scheduled to launch this fall on Peacock, is designed to be a digital extension of NBCUniversal’s popular Spanish-language television network, Telemundo. (LA Times / Company Town)

Tplus will be made available to subscribers of Peacock’s premium tier. Programming will include Spanish and English-language content across entertainment, news and sports. (Axios)

The content hub will include a slew of new scripted and unscripted shows, including a six-part docuseries about the Colombian artist J Balvin from Exile Content Studio and NBC News Studios, an anthology docuseries about top stories in Latino pop culture and a show about three middle-aged Latino couples in L.A. in the midst of “emotional crossroads in their marriages.” (THR)
