Spanish-Language Media Titans Univision, Televisa Complete $4.8 Billion Merger

Mexican broadcast powerhouse Grupo Televisa and U.S. based Univision are preparing to launch what would be the biggest Spanish-language streaming platform in the world in the first half of 2022, after sealing a joint venture deal on Monday. (Reuters)

As a result of the merger, the company says TelevisaUnivision now reaches over 100 million Spanish speakers every day—more than 60 percent of the respective TV audiences in both the U.S. and Mexico across television, digital, streaming, and audio. (Forbes)
