With 9.195 million total viewers, Game 1 of the 2020 World Series is officially the least-watched World Series game of all time. (TheWrap)

Tuesday’s telecast is down by about 25 percent from the 12.19 million people who watched last year’s World Series opener—which was itself a five-year low for Game 1. (THR / Live Feed)

The last time viewership dipped below 10 million for a World Series contest came was Game 3 in 2008, when the Rays played the Philadelphia Phillies (9.8 million viewers). That game was affected by a 90-minute rain delay. (CNBC)
