Patrick Drahi’s Altice Sells SFR BeLux to Telenet, Owned by John Malone’s Liberty Global

Patrick Drahi’s Netherlands-based Altice Group, parent of Altice USA and SFR, France’s No. 2 telecoms operator, has agreed to sell its businesses in Belgium and Luxembourg to the Telenet Group, owned by John Malone’s Liberty Global. (Variety)

The deal is for an enterprise value of €400 million ($418 million). The Netherlands-based holding, controlled by Franco-Israeli tycoon Drahi, is focusing on its larger operations in France and the U.S., where it is considering an IPO of its subsidiary Altice USA. (Reuters U.K.)
