MSNBC Not Planning to Air Trump’s July Fourth Celebration Live

President Trump’s takeover of the Fourth of July celebration at the National Mall won’t completely take over the cable airwaves. MSNBC, for one, doesn’t plan to carry his “Salute To America” live, though the network will assess in real time whether to air clips of the event, a spokesperson said. (Politico)

Fox News Channel is setting aside two hours that can be used to televise the “Salute To America,” expected to take place 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Memorial. C-SPAN will televise it as well. (Variety)

CNN did not immediately respond to a request for comment but is currently set to air a documentary on white nationalism at 7 p.m., according to Politico. Streaming channels such as CBSN and ABC News Live both reportedly plan to air the entirety of Trump’s remarks, while CBSN will cover the rest of the event as well. (The Hill)
