Opening statements from the prosecution and the defense, as well as the first witness to be summoned, were the Monday highlights of former President Donald Trump’s New York hush money criminal trial. Unfortunately, for the cable news networks and TV viewers, none of that courtroom footage is available, as cameras or audio of the proceedings are not allowed. (TVNewser)

One key part of the juror questionnaire asked about the prospective juror’s media diet, having them identify which media they consume from a list of more than one-dozen news organizations and social media platforms. The questionnaire also let them mention media not on the list, or say that they don’t follow the news. (NYT)
